Omolara Olusola OLUWANIYI is a Professor in the Industrial Chemistry Department, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, with more than 2 decades of university teaching, research and administrative experience. 

She has served as Level Adviser, Examination Officer, Postgraduate Coordinator, Chairperson, Academic Planning Committee, Chairperson, Faculty Quality Assurance Committee, Head of Department, member, Business Committee of Senate, among others. She is the immediate past Director of Quality Assurance of the university.

Her research area is Organic Chemistry, with particular interest in Medicinal/Natural Products, Food/Nutrition Chemistry. Her research outcomes are published in several national and international journals of high impact. 

Professor Oluwaniyi was the Treasurer, Chemical Society of Nigeria (Kwara Chapter) and Chapter Coordinator of the National Chemistry Competition. She is a fellow of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (FCSN); member, Organization for Women in Science for the Developing world (OWSD) and Science Association of Nigeria (SAN).
