Marili Funmilayo ZUBAIR, is a Professor in the Department of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin with more than 22 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.
She has served as Deputy Director, Central Research Laboratory and Ag. Head of Department. Her areas of research interest cover Characterization of Natural Products, Medicinal Chemistry, and Synthesis of Renewable Oleochemicals.
She has to his credit over twenty-five publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings and chapters in books. She has successfully supervised several undergraduate projects and Masters as well as Ph.D. Dissertations. Dr. Zubair is a fellow of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN) and member of professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
She was a vibrant member of the researchers that won 2015 TWAS Research Grant Award on Development, Characterization and Evaluation of Natural skin and hair care products from Nigerian under-utilized tropical seed
