Industrial Chemistry

Friday Onyekwere NWOSU is a professor of Industrial Chemistry, Faculty of Physical Sciences, University of Ilorin, Nigeria for about 27 years of university teaching, research and administrative experience. He is currently the Head of Department of Industrial Chemistry, University of Ilorin.

He has served as the Departmental Postgraduate Coordinator, Seminar Coordinator, Chairman certificate screening committee and Director of Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES). His area of interest is Industrial Chemistry with bias in Surface Chemistry including Analytical/Environmental Chemistry.

He has over fifty publications in reputable outlets covering journals and edited conference proceedings. He has supervised many Undergraduate projects, Masters’ project and Ph.D students, some are ongoing.

Professor Nwosu is a Fellow of Chemical Society of Nigeria, member, Material Science of Nigeria (MSN) and Fellow and life member of Science Association of Nigeria (SAN). He was the former Director of Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).
